Finally, it is here, the long-awaited (by me at least!) debut album "Two Lips and an Attitude"

Recorded with Brendan Sheeran, this is an eclectic mix of styles, which range from radio-friendly pop of "Flipside of the 90's" and "A Kiss to Consent" to the pared-down simplicity of "Rain on My Brain" and "The Spirit's Inside". Ann Scott and Ann Marie O'Grady provide backing vocals on "Sid McBain, an Unlikely Name" and the lute-playing talents of Thaddeus Buckley are utilised on "Glow".

The album was launched on Friday 6th February 2004 in the Lower Deck Pub, Portobello.

It was definitely a night to remember... a packed house welcomed Mick and Hot Chicken on stage. The scene was set, the atmosphere electric, and the boys got down to business! They played from about 10pm to 11.15pm; then took a break. Mick came back on stage around 11:30pm and did a short solo spot. He then welcomed Dublin's hardest-working blues band back on stage where they rocked the house till 12:45am!!

Highlights of the night included 2 versions of Bob Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone' and a (very!) extended rocked-out version of 'Ride On'. The crowd were absolutely fantanstic, giving the boys a tumultous reception and sending them off stage with big wide grins on their faces. A good nights' work!!
